Awesome 3000

Last weekend Avery ran the Awesome 3000, a race held for school kids every year here in Salem. The older kids do 3000 meters, but the younger ones like Avery do 1500 meters and it's even less for the littler kids (Carson could have done it this year too, but we decided to wait until they're Kindergarten+ to start them).

And they're off!! Avery's in the red pants. And the shaggy hair. The kid needed his hair cut badly and I have since taken care of that.

You did it Avery! His time was 9:25. Not bad for a kid who's never run that length before (and better than I can do!) but we told him if he ran more between now and next year he'll do even better.
