Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

In mid April Avery's Kindergarten class had a field trip to Woodburn's Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm for Tulip Fest. I was photographing a wedding that day, so Travis had to brave the elements and even more bravery to handle all three boys on his own. I sent him with my point and shoot and from the pictures it looks like the boys had a good, wet time of it.

While they waited to get going, they made these "dirt monsters" which are now sitting in clear plastic cups on my windowsill over the kitchen sink growing pathetic, weak patches of sickly looking grass and getting moldy on the bottom.

They all loved the racing ducks.

This was a cool pony tire swing

And Carson and Emmett's thoroughly enjoyed this slide

They also played in the hay bale mazes and slides.

And played in some dry beans

I don't know how much time they spent actually looking at or in the tulips with all the fun stuff kids would rather do, but Travis took this one picture of the fields that I quite liked. Looks very Oregon.

It's funny how much you have to take your chances planning an outdoor activity in advance.

Who else was there besides Betsy, Elsie & Tess? What a fun cow train.
