The boys love getting to make food with Grandma, usually baking, whenever she visits or we visit her.
Avery made a strawberry rhubarb pie with Grandma first, but we ate it long before I took a picture! Actually, I didn't even get pictures of the pie baking process at all! To bad considering Avery even did a lattice top on the pie! With the leftover crust, Avery and Carson each made a little cinnamon sugar pastry and I did snap a shot of each of them them. Carson was a natural with the rolling pin.
Avery had a little more trouble with it.
The next thing they made were little single serving apple pies.
Too much fun!
Egg was only needed around the edges of course, but the younger boys had too much fun "painting" the egg on and Emmett didn't grasp the edge-only concept anyway.
Silly Carson
Ta-Da!
And then, miraculously, they all looked at the camera at the same time for a split second and, even more miraculously, I caught them!
These yummy treats were dubbed "yummy nummers."
You know you want one.
The next day they got to make one last batch of yummy nummers.
Great focus, Carson, despite Avery trying to annoy you!
Oooh, so fun
Emmett wanted to roll, but he already got to cut out...
HMPH!
Beware the egg claw!
I don't know what happened, but suddenly he was staring at me and wouldn't stop. I eventually waved my hand in front of him at which point he cracked up.
So much fun to get messy baking with Grandma! I'm so glad she's up for that since they don't get to do many "messy" things with their Mom!

Baking with grandma, what sweet memories. Looks like delicious fun!
what a fun Grandma
ps just looked through your blog and way to go Travis with running a marathon, that's awesome!
I don't know who had more fun....the boys or me. It was a grand time with wonderful results in togetherness, licking fingers, sharing, licking fingers, learning, licking fingers, giggling, licking fingers, and finally eating.
