So, yesterday we visited the Milwaukee Public Museum. It's certainly not a new place we've been since it's free on Mondays to county residents, but it's really nice for the boys getting to take Daddy along.
Avery's favorite is still the butterflies:

This one landed on the back of my arm:
Carson was SO fascinated:
He REALLY wanted to touch/hold one, but he would wiggle his little finger as he held it out...
so I love how you can see Travis' shock that one actually decided to climb aboard:
Carson registers that there really is a butterfly on him!
Bye bye butterfly. That's right, it only lasted about 2 seconds...
Avery was happy sitting in this cocoon and thought it was cool... until he realized we were setting up a photo op when Travis plunked Carson in there...
We've never stopped to play in this butterfly/insect area, so it was fun to see Avery and Travis doing this butterfly puzzle together:
Just because I think this shot is fun:
Avery was pretty interested here... "Why are they killing the bison, Mom?"
We're having so much fun doing so many things with Daddy! I have a feeling when he goes back to school this coming Monday Avery is going to have some issues...

I met Travis in Institute at Oregon State University in 2001 and we were married Aug 2002. We have 3 boys, Avery, Carson and Emmett. I love photography and run a business,
Travis is a dentist at
Avery was born in Dec 2004 and is now 7 and almost a 2st grader. He loves being a big brother to Carson and Emmett.
Carson was born in March of 2007 and is now 5 years old.
Emmett was born in September of 2008 and is now almost 4 years old.

Ah, Milwaukee memories! I remember those bison getting killed! Congrats on being almost to your due date. Hooray for 3 kids! Hope the adjustment goes smoothly for you all. (:
Avery sured seemed intent on that butterfly puzzle. I have a picture of you at about age 5 looking forlorn like Avery in the cocoon. You were on the seesaw part of the swingset and we made you let Morgan be on the other end. I'll have to dig out the photo and scan it in for you. Aren't kids' eyes great. They see the wonder in everything.
Looks like you guys have been having a fun break!! ;)
I love the pictures with Carson and the butterflies.. so cute!!
